Breaking Barriers and Cycles

I know that taking the first step toward mental health support can feel overwhelming. Barriers, both internal and external, often get in the way. Whether it is a lack of trust in healthcare, the fear that no one will understand you, or the reality of time constraints, therapy can seem out of reach. My role is to help break down those barriers so you can get the support you deserve and reach your fullest potential.

You may feel stuck, dealing with the same challenges and people with no end in sight. I work with you to break those cycles, reclaim your sense of purpose, and regain autonomy over your life. My goal is to create a nonjudgmental, open space where you feel comfortable being yourself as we work together to improve your mental health and achieve your goals.

Your needs, Your Therapy

No two clients are the same, so I tailor my approach to fit your unique needs. While I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I draw from a variety of approaches. The truth is that many counseling theories were not created by or for people of color, which means it takes both nuance and care to apply them in a way that truly resonates. As a Black man, I bring both lived experience and professional expertise to ensure you receive therapy that feels personal and relevant to you.

Empowering You Through Self-Awareness

In our work together, I use a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) approach because I believe there are patterns in our thoughts and behaviors that can either hold us back or help us grow. Often, the challenges we face—like anxiety, depression, or difficult life transitions—are shaped by these ingrained patterns. I will focus on working with you to help you uncover those patterns, understand why you react the way you do, and empower you to change your responses in a way that feels more positive and productive.

But change doesn’t happen overnight. It takes commitment, trust, and accountability. I’m here to walk with you through that process—challenging you to grow while providing the support you need to make lasting changes.

Let me support you and help hold you accountable on your journey towards healing and self-discovery.

Compassionate Care, Lasting Change

I provide support for a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, mood and personality disorders, and the struggles that come with major life transitions. Whether you are navigating a career change, relationship shifts, or the uncertainties of daily life, I bring a compassionate and understanding approach to therapy. Together, we will uncover what is holding you back, build trust and accountability in the counseling relationship, and work toward lasting change. I encourage you to be patient with yourself and the process, knowing that meaningful growth takes time but is always worth the effort.
