Eligibility ​

1. Educational Requirements

  • Current Enrollment in a Graduate Counseling Program: You must be actively enrolled in a master's level program in counseling.

  • Academic Standing: Good academic standing in your program is essential, demonstrating your commitment and ability to succeed.

 

2. Required Coursework

  • Completion of Relevant Courses: Before starting the practicum or internship, you should have completed foundational courses in your program. This ensures you have the basic knowledge necessary to benefit from hands-on training. You must be in the practicum and internship portion of your program. 

 

3. Commitment to Ethical Practice

  • Adherence to Ethical Standards: A strong understanding and commitment to the ethical standards set forth by the Texas LPC and American Counseling Association is crucial.

  • Personal Integrity: We look for individuals who demonstrate honesty, professionalism, and a strong moral compass.

 

4. Passion for Mental Health​

  • Demonstrated Interest: A genuine interest in and dedication to mental health and wellness is key.

  • Empathy and Compassion: Essential qualities we seek are empathy and compassion towards clients' struggles and journeys.

  • Private and Secure Location: Availability of a private, quiet, and secure space for conducting counseling sessions, maintaining client confidentiality and creating a professional environment.
